Questions before you begin

Company registration, explained.

Practical answers about online incorporation, fees and the steps after registration.

Ask about your business
Can I register a company online from another city?

Yes. We can coordinate consultation, document review and incorporation filing online for a business with a registered office in India. Required signatures, DSC verification and document execution still apply. Overseas documents may need authentication, and the bank may have its own KYC process.

Should I choose a Pvt Ltd company, LLP or OPC?

A private limited company may suit shared ownership and equity investment. An LLP offers a partnership-based structure. An OPC provides single-member company ownership for an eligible individual. We compare your activity, founders, funding plans, taxes and recurring compliance before recommending a structure.

What is the cost of private limited company registration?

The total depends on authorised capital, office state, number of signatories, DSCs and the work involved. Ask for a written breakup of professional fees, government fees, stamp duty, applicable taxes and any separately charged work.

How long does company incorporation take?

Timing depends on document readiness, name approval, portal availability and the Registrar’s examination. A resubmission, foreign subscriber documents or a regulated business activity can add time. We discuss an indicative schedule after reviewing your case.

Is online company registration in India free?

Some MCA filing-fee concessions may apply to eligible incorporations, but that does not make every component free. State stamp duty, DSCs, documentation, professional services and taxes may still be payable. The estimate should identify each applicable component.

Can NRIs or foreign nationals participate in an Indian business?

Participation is possible subject to the chosen entity, business sector, residency rules and applicable foreign investment / FEMA requirements. OPC has separate eligibility conditions. Tell us the proposed owners’ nationality and residence so that the correct route and documentation can be assessed.

How do I register an IT company in India?

Start by choosing the entity and describing the proposed software, technology or consulting activity accurately in its business objects. The incorporation application uses the relevant company or LLP route. We also review ownership, overseas participation and the registrations relevant to your services; specialised or regulated activities may need separate approvals.

Are GST and Startup India registration automatic?

GST registration depends on the applicable law and the business facts; it should not be assumed to be included or required in every incorporation. DPIIT recognition under Startup India is a separate eligibility-based application. We identify the registrations relevant to your business.

What happens after a company or LLP is registered?

You need to organise banking, books and the applicable filings. A company may need first-auditor appointment, share certificates and a commencement declaration where applicable. An LLP needs its agreement and the prescribed filing. Ongoing company / LLP and tax obligations continue after incorporation.
